ENVIT recipient of the gold award for the best inventive solutions in the field of circular economy for the year 2023.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska has awarded prizes for the second consecutive year for the best inventive solutions in the field of circular economy.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska, as the beneficiary of the SRIP – Circular Economy (The Strategic Research and Innovation Partnership – Networks for the transition into circular economy), received 27 inventive solutions in the field of circular economy for the year 2023. Among them, 2 gold, 13 silver, and 7 bronze awards were granted for the best inventive solutions, along with 5 awards for developmental activity in the field of circular economy. The gold award was received by the company ENVIT for the innovative solution ReSoil® – sustainable remediation of heavy metals contaminated soil.

The coordinator of SRIP – Circular Economy, Nina Meglič, emphasized that such an increase in the number of submitted inventive solutions reflects the strong development and innovation activity within the Slovenian economic and research sectors in the field of circular economy, highlighting the need for further innovation in practice.

The call for submissions was supported this year by the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development, as well as the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation. The SRIP – Circular Economy project is partially financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. It is implemented within the Priority Axis "Knowledge Innovation Society" and the specific objective RSO1.1 "Development and improvement of research and innovation capacities and the introduction of advanced technologies."
