Dr. Anela Kaurin from Envit Ltd. secures funding for national research project in 2024

The Sloveninan Research and Innovation Agency announced the results of its 2024 public call in late November, awarding funding to groundbreaking projects like Envit Ltd.'s innovative solution for sustainable soil remediation in vineyards.

Envit Ltd. announces that Dr. Anela Kaurin successfully obtained funding for a research project through the 2024 public tender by the Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Slovenia.

 

The project, titled “Remediation of Copper-Contaminated Soils in a Closed-Loop Process as a Sustainable Solution in Viticulture”, aims to address the pressing challenge of copper contamination in vineyard soils. This innovative initiative focuses on developing a cost-effective, environmentally friendly technology for copper removal, ensuring sustainable soil health and food safety.

 

The project’s objectives include:

O1: Creating a permanent, economical, and eco-sustainable method for copper removal.
O2: Demonstrating the feasibility of the new technology with an on-site mobile pilot remediation unit.
O3: Showcasing the technology as a green solution that maintains soil functionality while supporting safe agricultural practices.

 


This success highlights Envit Ltd.’s commitment to advancing sustainable practices in agriculture and addressing critical environmental challenges.
